The menswear scene in Seattle is growing. My friend Avi Soor (@suitedsoor) is from LA and he was telling me how surprised he was that there was such a lack of menswear enthusiasts, or menswear community, compared to his origins. LA, New York, Miami; these places are all established fashion capitols of the United States. When you go to these places, you are sure to see a vast amount of influencers, curators, entrepreneurs, and different communities surrounding the passions of its members. However, Seattle hasn’t had much of that. Maybe it’s the rain, maybe it’s because we are tucked in the upper left corner of the country. Regardless, there is no excuse for such a lack of a menswear community. So we are striving to change that.
I have to start by thanking Avi and Antonio Smith (@antoniocdsmith) for putting this all together. We pulled together as many influencers and menswear enthusiasts as we could contact in the area for a Gentleman’s Brunch. The brunch was held at the Goldfinch Tavern (@goldfinchtavern) inside the Four Seasons –Seattle Hotel (@fsseattle). The atmosphere was amazing and the food was even better.
The point of this brunch was to get all of us together. It was great meeting new guys with similar interests, and you can bet you’ll see some killer collaborations in the future. This is just the start, but you can expect a lot in the future from the Seattle Gents.
Special shout out to Esther Swaty and Danny Owens for helping with photos and reaching out to the community. Can’t wait to work more with both of you in the future!
